Our worship is rooted in the central Quaker belief that the Divine, that of God, the Inner Light is present in and available to each of us. We gather each Sunday, and at other times as called, and wait for the Spirit to be revealed. Meeting for Worship is held at 10:30 am, in the upstairs portion of our Meetinghouse.
Our worship is "unprogrammed," meaning that we worship in silent, expectant waiting. When someone feels led to share a message, it is received in the gathering silence. We close our worship by shaking hands and exchanging greetings.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Meeting now offers a virtual option for Meeting for Worship. We hold virtual meetings on Zoom during Meeting for Worship hours each Sunday. To join our worship on Zoom, please contact us at kalamazooquakers@gmail.com to be sent weekly links to virtual meetings.
Masks are welcome, but not required, during Meeting for Worship.
